From Hanoi streets to Hoi An lanterns

You start in Hanoi with a walk around Hoàn Kiếm Lake and the Old Quarter, followed by a welcome dinner. The next day covers the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, a museum and West Lake, with pho for lunch and a water puppet show.

In Ninh Bình you take a boat trip at Tràng An – Tam Cốc and visit either Hang Múa or Hoa Lư, then return to Hanoi. From there you drive to Halong Bay for one night on a cruise: lunch on board, a cave visit, kayaking, dinner and squid fishing.

After the flight to Da Nang you stop at Marble Mountains on the way to Hoi An. You visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, old houses and Hoi An Market, and walk the lantern streets in the evening. The last full day is free for shopping, coffee or a tailor.

The first half is Hanoi landmarks and time on the water; the second half is slower days in Hoi An.
