Dong Hoi → Phong Nha → Bo Trach → through jungle → Son Doong → Phong Nha → Dong Hoi
Organize a 6-day Son Doong expedition through licensed operator Oxalis. The world's largest cave with an underground tropical forest, underground river, and giant sandbanks.
Son Doong is the world's largest natural cave, located in the core of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Discovered in 2009 and opened to a limited number of visitors since 2013, only a few hundred people are allowed to set foot here each year. This is not an ordinary tour — it is a 6-day expedition through the jungle, crossing rivers, and bivouacking inside the cave.
Giant cave entrance: a skylight that lets sunlight shine down, creating the phenomenon of 'clouds inside the cave'.
Underground tropical forest: a unique ecosystem inside the cave with its own plants, animals, and climate.
Underground river and sandbanks: mysterious currents, fine white sandbanks lying beneath a ceiling hundreds of meters high.
Hand of Dog: a giant stalagmite shaped like a dog — the symbol of Son Doong.
6 days 5 nights: trekking through the jungle, crossing streams, climbing rock faces with ropes, sleeping in tents inside the cave, with meals served by a professional porter and kitchen team. All supplies and equipment are prepared by Oxalis — the sole organizer.
Limited slots, short season (January–August), good health required, and booking months in advance. Vibe Vietnam Tour supports you: itinerary consultation, slot confirmation with Oxalis, arranging shuttle and hotels before/after the tour, and extending to explore Central Vietnam.
