Overview

The Pleiku – Kon Tum Highlands Culture Tour is a journey exploring two highlights of the Northern Central Highlands: the mountain town of Pleiku in Gia Lai and the cultural region of Kon Tum. The tour combines highland nature, lakes, coffee, religious architecture, communal houses, suspension bridges, indigenous villages, and the stories of the Jrai and Ba Na communities.

Pleiku is home to Bien Ho T’Nung – a famous natural freshwater lake near the city center, surrounded by pine forests and green mountain scenery. Often called the “eyes of Pleiku,” it is a perfect start to the tour with a gentle nature spot, easy for photos and feeling the highland air.

Kon Tum, on the other hand, is a cultural highlight: the over-100-year-old Wooden Church with unique wooden architecture, the Kon Klor communal house, the Kon Klor suspension bridge over the Dak Bla River, and the Ba Na cultural villages around the city. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism introduces Kon Tum as a destination with many attractions such as Mang Den, the Wooden Church, and the large communal house, suitable for travelers interested in Central Highlands culture.

This tour should be positioned as a highlands culture experience, not a regular city tour. For international guests, emphasize elements: indigenous, architecture, community, coffee, communal houses, gongs, the Dak Bla River, and the difference between the Central Highlands and Vietnam’s coastal destinations.
