You walk the visitor route in Paradise Cave, choose Dark Cave or Mooc Spring for the water stop, and take a boat to Phong Nha Cave. There is no technical trekking and no camping underground.
Paradise Cave Is Fixed; the Water Stop Is Your Choice
The trip starts at Paradise Cave. The visitor route runs on wooden stairs and walkways past stalactites, stalagmites and stone columns. There is walking and stair climbing, so it suits people who want to see caves without technical adventure activities.
For the water stop you choose Dark Cave or Mooc Spring. Dark Cave suits people who are comfortable with water and darkness and can swim a little. Mooc Spring is the option if you would rather not get wet or muddy.
Phong Nha Cave comes with a sightseeing boat on the Sơn River, depending on the package. Heavy rain and high river levels can change operations, so treat the plan as dependent on conditions.
An easy-access cave visit in the middle of the trip, with a choice of water activity depending on how active you want to be.

If you have knee problems, go slowly in Paradise Cave. Dark Cave is not suitable if you are afraid of water or the dark, or if you do not meet the activity's height and weight limits.
Rain, River Levels and What to Bring
Activities in caves, streams, rivers and outdoors can be affected during the central Vietnam rainy season. Boat trips to Phong Nha Cave can stop when the Sơn River is high.
Bring comfortable shoes, swimwear, a towel, a change of clothes, a waterproof bag, a light jacket and personal medicine. Tell us in advance about any dietary requirements.
