Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Hanoi – Ba Be Lake
Pickup at your hotel in central Hanoi or Noi Bai Airport as per confirmed schedule. Depart for Ba Be by private car, with a stop along the way for coffee and to admire the northern countryside. Travel time is approximately 5.5 – 6.5 hours. Arrive at Ba Be, check in at a clean homestay/eco lodge by the lake. Free afternoon to rest, walk around the village or watch the sunset on the lake. Enjoy dinner with local specialties and interact with the host family in the evening.
Day 2
Explore Ba Be Lake – Travel to Cao Bang
After breakfast, experience a boat trip on Ba Be Lake – admire the crystal clear water, layered limestone mountains, lakeside villages and peaceful natural surroundings. Depending on conditions, you may visit Puong Cave, Fairy Pond or other nearby attractions. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart for Cao Bang, with breaks along the way. Arrive in Cao Bang, check in at hotel. Free evening to explore Cao Bang cuisine: steamed rice rolls, sour pho, or enjoy coffee in the city center.
Day 3
Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave – Cao Bang
After breakfast, depart for Ban Gioc Waterfall – the outstanding landscape highlight of Cao Bang province. The road passes through terraced rice fields, palm forests and layered hills. Visit, take photos and enjoy the natural space at the waterfall area. Optionally add a small raft/boat experience if services are operating. Continue to visit Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most accessible and beautiful caves in Trung Khanh region. Return to Cao Bang, overnight at hotel. Free evening or enjoy dinner with local specialties.
Day 4
Cao Bang – Return to Hanoi
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Hanoi by private car. Stop for breaks along the way, lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive in Hanoi at the end of the day. Drop off at central hotel or Noi Bai Airport as per flight schedule. End of services. Optional extensions to Ninh Binh, Ha Long, Sapa or golf packages around Hanoi upon request.
