The tour takes guests from Buôn Ma Thuột center to Lak Lake, where there is a wide water surface, M'nông villages, long houses, dugout canoes, lakeside life, and the story of transitioning elephant tourism to a more humane direction.

Previously, some areas around Lak Lake and Đắk Lắk were associated with elephant riding activities. However, the new trend is no elephant riding; instead, observing elephants from a suitable distance, learning about the stories of elephants and their mahouts, feeding elephants if permitted, taking controlled photos, and supporting local livelihoods in a way that is better for animal welfare.
This product should be positioned as an elephant-friendly cultural lake experience, not an elephant riding tour. For international guests, this is a very important selling point because many European, Australian, American, and high-end travelers do not want to participate in activities that put pressure on animals.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Depart for Lak Lake.
Visit the lake, take a boat/dugout canoe ride if conditions allow.
Learn about M’nông culture, long houses, lakeside life.
Lunch at a restaurant/homestay/lodge.
Observe elephants, hear the story of tourism transition, no riding.
Check in at a lodge/homestay by the lake or in the Lak area.
Stroll by the lake, take sunset photos, enjoy a light coffee.
Dinner. Optionally add gong culture/local performance if the community has a schedule and guests book in advance.
Watch the sunrise, take photos of morning mist on the lake.
Breakfast at lodge/homestay.
Walk through the village, local market, or farm stop depending on the day.
Optionally visit the lake viewpoint or Bao Dai Villa if open and on route.
Drop off guests at Buôn Ma Thuột or connect to Đà Lạt/Nha Trang route.
