This one-day ride moves from central Hanoi through local streets and across Long Bien Bridge to the Red River sandbank and surrounding countryside. It is designed for close observation of the shift from urban movement to riverside village life, with a local refreshment break before returning to the city.

A short ride from central Hanoi brings you to farmland, village dikes and craft villages along the Red River.
The ride starts on Long Bien Bridge, the steel bridge across the Red River that the French built in the early 20th century. From there, you ride down to the sandbank in the middle of the river, past banana and corn fields, and follow the dike through small villages.
The ride ends at Bat Trang ceramic village. You walk the brick lanes, see the old communal house, and shape your own piece on a pottery wheel with an artisan. Green tea and mung bean cake are served in an old house before the ride back to the city.

Day 1
Old Quarter – Long Bien Bridge – Red River Islands – Bat Trang Ceramic Village
- Meet at the Old Quarter meeting point, pick up your bike, and listen to the safety briefing.
- Cycle across Long Bien Bridge, a steel bridge built by the French in the early 20th century
- Ride down to the Red River sandbank, past banana and corn fields.
- Follow the village dike, shaded by bamboo, towards Bat Trang.
- Visit the old Bat Trang communal house and walk through the brick lanes.
- Shape a piece on a pottery wheel with an artisan.
