This 4-day, 3-night private car tour suits families, couples and anyone who wants to see the karst peaks and mountain passes of Ha Giang without riding a motorbike. The pace is flexible, and you can ask for photo stops and breaks at viewpoints.
You travel in an air-conditioned SUV or van with a local driver who knows the roads. The stops are Quan Ba Heaven Gate, the Hmong King's Palace, the Lung Cu Flag Tower at the northern edge of Vietnam, Ma Pi Leng Pass and the Du Gia valley, where you spend the last night. A boat trip through Tu San Canyon on the Nho Que River can be added.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Ha Giang – Quan Ba Heaven Gate – Lung Tam Village – Dong Van
- Private vehicle pick-up in Ha Giang City
- Drive up Bac Sum Pass to Quan Ba Heaven Gate
- Visit the Lung Tam hemp-weaving cooperative
- Drive through the Yen Minh pine hills to Dong Van Old Town
- Check in and take an evening walk through the old streets
Day 2
Dong Van – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Hmong King Palace – Ma Pi Leng Pass
- Climb the Lung Cu National Flag Tower
- Visit the Hmong King's Palace (Vuong family residence)
- Drive over the top of Ma Pi Leng Pass
- Arrive in Meo Vac, check in and have dinner
Day 3
Nho Que River – Tu San Canyon – Du Gia Valley
- Transfer to the Nho Que River wharf (optional boat trip through Tu San Canyon, 9 USD per guest)
- Drive the bends of Mau Due Pass to Du Gia
- Arrive in Du Gia valley in the afternoon and visit the waterfall
Day 4
Du Gia Valley – Duong Thuong Mountain Pass – Ha Giang City
- Breakfast beside the rice fields
- Drive back via Duong Thuong Pass
- Lunch in Ha Giang City and end of tour
