Overview
A private six-day, five-night tour along central Vietnam's coast. It starts at Marble Mountains and Hoi An, crosses Hai Van Pass to Hue, then ends at Ba Na Hills and Da Nang airport. Guided visits are mixed with free time in Hoi An, Hue and Da Nang.
Hoi An streets, Hue heritage and Ba Na Hills
The tour starts in Da Nang with the caves and pagodas of Marble Mountains, then continues to Hoi An. The first evening covers the old town: the covered bridge, historic houses, assembly halls, the market and the lantern streets.
The second day in Hoi An includes Tra Que Vegetable Village and either a Cam Thanh Coconut Forest basket boat ride or a cooking class. The rest of the day is free for coffee, tailoring, shopping, An Bang Beach or the night market.
The route then crosses Hai Van Pass to Hue, with stops at Lang Co and Lap An Lagoon. In Hue you visit the Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda, a royal tomb, an incense village, Truong Tien Bridge and Dong Ba Market.
Ba Na Hills comes on day 5: cable car, Golden Bridge, flower gardens, French Village and Fantasy Park. The last day is free for the beach or shopping before the airport transfer.
Marble Mountains, Hue citadel and Golden Bridge
Imperial City and royal tombs of Hue
Visit Thien Mu Pagoda, walk through Ngo Mon Gate into the Imperial City, and see either Khai Dinh Tomb or Minh Mang Tomb.
Hai Van Pass and Lang Co
Drive the coastal road over Hai Van Pass, the pass between Da Nang and Hue, with stops at Lang Co and Lap An Lagoon.
Golden Bridge and Hoi An
Cross the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills, held up by two stone hands, and spend evenings in Hoi An old town when the lanterns are lit.
