Con Son Town Center – Con Dao Prison – Hang Duong Cemetery – Nui Mot Pagoda
The Con Dao History & Spiritual Tour takes visitors to the most iconic sites of the island district: the prison system with Phu Hai Camp, the Tiger Cages isolation area, Hang Duong Cemetery where Vo Thi Sau rests, and Nui Mot Pagoda (Van Son Tu) overlooking the sea.
The Con Dao History & Spiritual Tour is a meaningful journey to understand the heroic past and serene beauty of the island district. The program suits travelers interested in history, culture, spirituality, and those who want a deeper perspective on Con Dao.
The journey usually begins at the Con Dao prison system – one of the most important historical sites, with Phu Hai Camp, the Tiger Cages isolation area, the hell cells, and artifacts recreating prisoner life during the French-American period. Then, visitors pay respects at Hang Duong Cemetery, the resting place of tens of thousands of revolutionary soldiers, and especially Vo Thi Sau's Grave – a symbol of courage and purity. In the afternoon, the tour goes up to Nui Mot Pagoda (Van Son Tu) or Cau Shrine to watch the sunset, listen to local spiritual stories, and pray.
