Day 1
Depart for full-day coffee culture tour.
Visit the museum, learn about coffee history, brewing methods, artifacts, and the global coffee story. Museum ticket reference from official website: 150,000 VND/adult and 40,000 VND/child 7–12 years old, should be checked before the tour date.
Stop at Trung Nguyen Coffee Village or a well-concept local café for guests to experience the Buon Ma Thuot coffee atmosphere.
Enjoy a local lunch with regional dishes. Options include Vietnamese rice, grilled chicken, forest vegetables, Central Highlands specialties, or an easy menu for international guests.
Transfer to a suitable coffee farm or roastery. Guests learn about planting, variety selection, harvesting, sorting, drying, roasting, grinding, and brewing. Some coffee farm tours in Buon Ma Thuot currently offer experiences visiting coffee gardens, learning about tree care, harvesting, sorting, processing, and tasting/cupping depending on the season.
Guests try different brewing methods or basic cupping. For coffee-specialist guests, a deeper workshop should be offered: Robusta profile, roast level, brewing methods, sensory notes, defects, processing methods.
Visit Akŏ Dhông Village if guests want additional indigenous culture. According to Nhan Dan Newspaper, Akŏ Dhông, also known as Co Thon, is located in Tan Loi ward, central Buon Ma Thuot; it is the first recognized community tourism village in Dak Lak, featuring Ê Đê cultural characteristics such as traditional longhouses, gongs, and wooden statues.
