Ban Gioc Waterfall and Nguom Ngao Cave in Two Days
Ban Gioc Waterfall is on the border between Vietnam and China, where the Quây Sơn River drops over a wide set of limestone steps. The two-day trip from Hanoi gives you the waterfall, a cave and a stone village in Cao Bang.
The first day is mostly the drive from Hanoi via National Highway 3, with photo stops at Wind Pass and lunch in Quảng Uyên. In the afternoon you visit Ngườm Ngao Cave with a guide, then Khuổi Ky Stone Village.
On the second day you go to Ban Gioc Waterfall. A bamboo raft ride to the falls is available as an option. You then visit Truc Lam Pagoda, have lunch in Cao Bang city and drive back to Hanoi.
Two days, one night: a long drive each way, with the waterfall, the cave and the stone village in between.
