Overnight on the bay, kayak through caves, sunset on sundeck & Vung Vieng fishing village
Hanoi – Hon Gai – Board cruise – Bai Tu Long – Kayak & caves – Vung Vieng fishing village – Sunset & dinner – Sunrise – Hanoi
2-day 1-night cruise journey exploring Bai Tu Long Bay — the little sister of Ha Long, more peaceful & less crowded. Kayak through caves, visit Vung Vieng fishing village, sunset on sundeck, seafood dinner & night on the bay.
When mentioning a cruise in the Gulf of Tonkin, most people immediately think of Ha Long — a destination already too famous with hundreds of cruises and massive crowds. But right next to it is Bai Tu Long Bay — a vast bay with the same spectacular limestone karst formations as Ha Long, yet quieter, with fewer cruises, and still retaining its pristine beauty.
The Bai Tu Long Cruise tour is the choice for travelers who want to fully experience the beauty of the Gulf of Tonkin without jostling with crowded cruise fleets. You will spend 1 night on the cruise, kayak through limestone caves, visit Vung Vieng fishing village — where fishermen live on the water, watch the sunset on the sundeck, enjoy a seafood dinner, and welcome the sunrise in the middle of the bay.
Bai Tu Long is the eastern part of the Ha Long Bay complex, stretching over 100km of coastline with hundreds of limestone islands. The biggest difference: the number of cruises operating here is much smaller than on the central Ha Long route. This means you will have more private space — when kayaking you won't have to 'compete' with 20 other kayaks, when visiting caves you won't queue for long, and in the evening on the sundeck you can truly hear the waves lapping.
